Former President Donald Trump proudly shared his endorsement from baseball legend Mariano Rivera, who expressed his intention to vote for his “friend” Trump in the upcoming November elections. Rivera’s endorsement was made during an interview with radio host Sid Rosenberg on WABC Radio NY.
Trump shared a portion of the interview on his Truth Social account, highlighting Rivera’s support. The former president had previously honored Rivera with the Presidential Medal of Freedom in 2019, an experience Rivera described as one of the most remarkable moments of his life.
Rivera expressed gratitude for the Medal of Freedom during the WABC radio interview, emphasizing its significance to him. When Rosenberg voiced concerns about the future, particularly for New York and the world, Rivera echoed agreement, stating that he believes Trump’s leadership is needed. Rivera emphasized his personal connection with Trump, stating, “President Trump, he’s my friend. I can’t deny that. Before he was the president, he was my friend. Because of that, I’m going to vote for him.”

WABC’s Rosenberg said, “I’m very afraid, Mariano, for New York and this world … I’ve got a 19-year-old daughter, she’s gonna turn 20 on Sunday, and a 15-year-old son, and I think we need President Trump to win or it could be very, very ugly. Do you agree with that?”
“I agree with that,” Rivera said. He added, “President Trump, he’s my friend. I can’t deny that. Before he was the president, he was my friend. Because of that, I’m going to vote for him.”
