WWE fired Billy Gunn last Friday for testing positive for elevated levels of testosterone. He had been a trainer at the Performance Center before being released. Gunn did not test positive from a WWE drug test, but rather a bodybuilding competition drug test he took part in back in the summer.
The belief within WWE is that the company will bring him back in a few months as he was liked by the developmental talent and management.
It should be noted that WWE has a zero tolerance policy for anything that could give the company bad publicity because of their current relationship with ESPN. WWE sent a message to employees that this policy is in effect, and they would be more severe with talents that fail any drug test.
