The Intercontinental Championship is one of the most prestigious championships in all of Sports Entertainment. Finn Balor has been a phenomenal champion ever since he captured the title at WrestleMania 35 and since then he’s successfully defended his title against several opponents.
However, as of late, the title hasn’t been in the spotlight for some reason. This week on SmackDown LIVE, Balor was asked in a backstage interview about who is next in line for a shot at the Intercontinental Championship.
Before Balor could really answer the question, the King of Strong Style Shinsuke Nakamura walked in and took a good look at Balor’s title. Balor looked weirded out as Nakamura walked away from the spot.

Nakamura and Balor have butted heads in a dark match at SmackDown LIVE very recently and therefore it can be safe to assume that he could be the next contender for the Intercontinental Title.
