Original Crown Jewel plans for Daniel Bryan

After a week full of rumor, WWE finally confirmed the reports of Daniel Bryan refusing to work at Crown Jewel by pulling him out of the event on this week’s SmackDown.

However, Daniel lost to AJ Styles clean and he tapped out during the bout, making many wonder if the company is punishing him for his decision.

During the latest episode of Wrestling Observer Live, Bryan Alvarez talked about the bout on SmackDown and revealed this isn’t the case.

According to him, the tap out finish was the original plan for the upcoming Crown Jewel event and it was just moved up to this week’s episode of the Blue Branded Show.

Though this doesn’t necessarily mean that the Officials are happy with Bryan and their reaction to these events will most likely be reflected in Bryan’s upcoming storylines.

Whats wrong with losing cleanly to a guy like AJ Styles. He is a worth wrestler to be losing cleanly too. I don’t think WWE is in a hurry to get the WWE title off of AJ Styles anyway.
