Possible challenger for Drew McIntyre’s WWE Title

Drew McIntyre

Drew McIntyre won the WWE Championship after he beat Randy Orton this past week on Monday Night RAW. He won the title just before Survivor Series and he did not have to defend the title at the event.

McIntyre was booked as the top babyface in the company during his first reign with the WWE title. Now onto his second run with the title, he will need opponents and it seems WWE could already be working on his next challenger.

According to Dave Meltzer on Wrestling Observer Radio, WWE is protecting Bobby Lashley. The US Champion has been made to look strong as of late. Apparently, it does not have to do with elevating the US Title, but to make him more of a formidable opponent.

It seems the company is planning a feud between the Almighty and the WWE Champion in the near future. We will have to see how they will develop the feud.
