Before the Dusty Rhodes tag team classic finals were announced, WWE was planning to book Finn Balor vs. Samoa Joe for the NXT Championship.
With the two serving as a tag team at the upcoming NXT Takeover special in the tournament, it’s possible that a split between the two could occur thus sparking a feud between the two going into the NXT UK special.
The classic finals take place at NXT Takeover: RESPECT on October 7th.
