Possible reason for Corey Graves sending tweet to Mauro Ranallo

Corey Graves recently sent a tweet which was directed at Mauro Ranallo, criticizing his work at NXT TakeOver: WarGames. Due to this, Ranallo left Twitter for a while.

During his After The Bell podcast, Graves apologized for his words. According to a report by Pro Wrestling Sheet, Graves sent the tweet in order to intensify the brand rivalry between NXT and the main roster.

According to sources, Corey wrote those tweets to play into the brand warfare element of Survivor Series and the SmackDown announcer planned to bring them up on commentary in a joking manner when he was joined by Mauro at the desk the following day.

Ranallo certainly did not like Corey’s words and he missed this week’s NXT as well. Ranallo and Frank Shamrock apparently arrived at Survivor Series during the day but left shortly after.
