Randy Orton, a seasoned veteran in the world of professional wrestling with over two decades of experience, is known for his accomplishments in the squared circle and his widespread admiration among fellow wrestlers and fans. However, he has also had his share of struggles, including anger issues, which once led to an incident where he paid $4,000 to a former WWE Superstar for damaging their rental car.
In a recent Q&A session on his YouTube channel, Maven, a former WWE Superstar, recounted an incident involving himself and Randy Orton. They were leaving a wrestling event one night, and Orton was in a foul mood. Since Orton was too young to rent a car at the time, they had booked it in Maven’s name. Orton, looking to release some steam, took the wheel of the rental car. Unfortunately, Orton’s anger got the better of him, and he drove recklessly through a construction zone, colliding with barricades and traffic cones.
The consequences of Orton’s actions soon caught up with them when the rental car service demanded $4,000 in damages, threatening legal action if the payment was not made. Maven found himself in a difficult situation and promptly contacted Orton to address the issue. Orton, to his credit, agreed to cover the cost of the damages without hesitation.
Maven recounted the incident, stating, “I didn’t think anything of it until a few months later when I got a very sternly worded letter from both American Express and from Hertz rental car, claiming that they were going to sue me through the roof if I didn’t pay. It was like $4,000, $5,000 in damages, and I called Randy immediately, and I was like, ‘Yo dude!’ I was like, ‘Man, you remember that rental car in South Dakota?’ and he stopped me, and he went, ‘How much?’ And I was like, ‘Man, it’s like four grand.’ He’s like, ‘I’ll have it for you when I see you on Friday.’ I got there, and he handed me a cashier’s check for it.”
