In a story that’s likely to anger Dolph Ziggler fans further – it is reported that he was the original pick to win the Intercontinental Championship at the WWE Battleground pay-per-view last night.
However, it was decided at a production meeting on Tuesday the title would go to the Miz instead due to the fact he will be making a lot of media appearances in the next few weeks and has The Marine 4 coming out.
Before moving on to face Ziggler, The Miz will first feud with the Irishman Sheamus.
