The former WWE RAW Women’s Champion Rhea Ripley is one of the top stars of the company. There have been speculations for weeks on social media about Ripley dating a current AEW star. Well, it turns out ‘The Nightmare’ is indeed dating an AEW star.
Rhea Ripley reveals she is dating Buddy Matthews
Fans who follow her on Instagram figured out a while back but until today, there had been no public confirmation. However, on Twitter, Ripley confirmed that she is currently dating former WWE star/current AEW star Buddy Matthews (Buddy Murphy).
Ripley’s confirmation came after a fan asked what Buddy has that she doesn’t and Ripley simply stated, “Me.”

Matthews previously dated Alexa Bliss. He regularly appears on Ripley’s Twitch streams, and the two wrestlers often post videos of them working out together on social media. In recent weeks, Ripley has shared several videos of herself and Matthews being intimate, which fueled speculation among fans. He’s currently in the House of Black stable in AEW with Malakai Black and Brody King.Penta Oscuro, PAC and the returning Rey Fenix of Death Triangle on last week’s Dynamite. A Trios Match between the two stables is likely to take place soon.
Ripley recently turned on Liv Morgan on WWE Raw and she is now one of the top female heels on the brand. Ripley decided to split with her former tag-team partner Liv Morgan after frustrations piled up due to series of defeats. Ripley attacked her, turning heel in the process. This week Morgan also attacked Ripley when ‘The Nightmare’ was in the middle of a backstage interview. The two former tag partners are expected to face off at the upcoming WrestleMania Backlash Premium Live Event.
