WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns was involved in a mystery attacker storyline back in 2019. The former WWE star Buddy Murphy was accused of being the attack by Reigns on screen but later on it was revealed to be Erick Rowan.

Fightgul Select recently reported that Murphy said in an interview that he was thinking about some creative ideas backstage and by accident, he was caught in the shot when Reigns was ‘attacked’.

It was Reigns who decided to go forward with idea, giving it a bigger spectacle and nixed the old pitched ideas. He also scrapped off their match to continue with this angle. This had led to their WWE SmackDown main event in which Reigns was put over.
