During his Weekend At Effy’s podcast, Effy didn’t just critique Rousey’s wrestling abilities but also expressed issues he finds problematic about her involvement in the wrestling industry. Effy outlined three criteria for respecting a wrestler: being at least a little good at wrestling, respecting and honoring trans people, and acknowledging events like Sandy Hook.
Effy accused Rousey of lacking proficiency in wrestling and labeled her as transphobic, claiming she questions the reality of events like Sandy Hook. He went on to criticize the decision to rehire her for another company, referring to it as “WCW Jr,” implying a negative outlook on the wrestling industry’s future.

“When I think of if I respect a wrestler, or disrespect or don’t enjoy or promote a wrestler, they only have to be three things, okay? The first is, a little bit good at wrestling, just a little bit.“
