The former WWE RAW Women’s Champion Ronda Rousey could be making her huge return soon, as per the reports. The reports have certainly stunned the fans and they wonder who could be her opponent when she makes her comeback. Well, it seems that the current WWE RAW Women’s Champion Becky Lynch could be her potential opponent. Perhaps, they could lock horns for a match at WrestleMania 38.
Ronda Rousey vs Becky Lynch could be on the cards
It has been noted that almost three years ago Rousey wrestled her final match in WWE. She stepped away from the squared circle after wrestling against Charlotte Flair and Becky Lynch in a triple-threat match at WrestleMania 35.
Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter recently reported that there are plans in place to bring her back in the coming weeks. He has now provided a major update on her possible role at WrestleMania 38. He stated that The Baddest Woman on the Planet could compete for the RAW Women’s title at The Show of Shows, against the arch-rival Becky Lynch.
“That could be the match, and the impression I got is that it’s certainly ‘more than considered’ to be the match. I don’t know that it’s official, but I know somebody there who pretty much told me its in the books.”
Meltzer noted that this could generate huge revenue, however, the match is not confirmed. He added that the former UFC Women’s Bantamweight Champion would probably end up winning the 2022 Women’s Royal Rumble match, and secure a shot at RAW Women’s title at WrestleMania. According to Meltzer, WWE feels that this program would be a good way to garner major mainstream press. We will now have to wait and see if Rousey makes her much-awaited return to the squared circle. The WWE Royal Rumble 2022 will air live on Saturday, January 29, 2021. The show will start at 7 p.m. EST
