Tucker Carlson recently engaged in a candid interview with comedian Roseanne Barr, during which the two outspoken figures delved into various topics, including their experiences with attempts by the left to silence them.
Their discussion also ventured into the realm of former President Donald Trump, whom Barr characterized as a unique figure in her extensive Hollywood career.
According to Salon:
“In my Hollywood career, he’s the only individual who ever reciprocated a favor and went above and beyond what I had offered him,” she remarked regarding the former president and leading contender for the 2024 Republican presidential nomination.
Carlson, who departed from Fox News in 2023, alleging his dismissal was linked to the network’s settlement with Dominion Voting Systems over defamation claims, empathized with Barr over their shared sense of being ostracized, describing Barr as “profound” and concurring with her assessment that their cancellations felt deeply personal.
The interview garnered attention from diverse social media users.
Of course, Barr’s positive sentiments towards the former and potentially future president are not new.
As noted by Newsweek in November:
“Like a protective father bear, they’ll eliminate the competition. That’s understandable. But Trump embraces us,” she previously remarked.
When queried about her advice for the 2024 presidential aspirant:
“Lighten up a bit. Have some fun and ease up. Embrace joy a little more. And you know, seek solace in prayer a bit more. Connect with the affection of the people a bit more. I believe that’ll do wonders,” Barr shared.
