WWE NXT Champion Samoa Joe was recently interviewed by Forbes and you can read some highlights here:
On UFC champ Conor McGregor’s recent comments towards the WWE:
“I think Conor McGregor is a promoter, and I’m not here to promote any of his fights. If he were here in WWE, that would be a different story, but until that happens I don’t feel like I need to address it.”
On a prediction for Lesnar/Orton at SummerSlam:
“For selfish reasons, I’d like to see Brock stand tall until I get my hands on him. I’d like to see Brock pull through so I can get my shot at him.”
On when he’d like to step into the ring with Lesnar:
“WrestleMania 33. Where else would we fight?”
On adding more titles to the WWE:
“It just depends on who your champions are. Speculation [of dilution] is kind of pointless. It really comes to other people and how the WWE Universe reacts to multiple champions. These champions could cross paths and create these super-match cards…Whether it’s diluted or not strictly [depends] on who’s carrying the championship and who is representing their brands accordingly.”
