As Sasha Banks, Mercedes had been a prominent figure in WWE, showcasing her exceptional talent and charisma. Making her NXT debut in 2012, Banks quickly evolved from portraying the character of a naive newcomer to becoming “The Boss,” a confident and ambitious persona that resonated with fans and defined her career.

Sasha’s in-ring skills, mic work, and character development propelled her into the spotlight, leading to multiple championship reigns across WWE’s women’s divisions. Notably, her rivalry with Bayley in NXT culminated in a match at NXT TakeOver: Brooklyn in 2015, which is widely regarded as a milestone in women’s wrestling. This bout not only stole the show but also set a new standard for female wrestlers in WWE.

Upon transitioning to WWE’s main roster, Banks continued to break barriers. She became a multi-time WWE Women’s Champion, with her feuds against Charlotte Flair, Becky Lynch, and Bayley being particularly memorable. These rivalries produced several historic moments, including participating in the first-ever women’s Hell in a Cell match in 2016, further proving that female wrestlers could headline major WWE events.

Banks has also been instrumental in WWE’s women’s evolution, pushing for more opportunities and better representation for women in wrestling. Her charisma, in-ring prowess, and advocacy for women’s wrestling have not only earned her numerous accolades but have also inspired a new generation of female wrestlers.

Outside the ring, Banks also ventured into acting, notably appearing in the Disney+ series “The Mandalorian,” showcasing her versatility and expanding her reach beyond wrestling.

After departing WWE in 2022, Mercedes Mone went on to taste success in NJPW and now she is seemingly heading to AEW on March 13 edition of AEW Dynamite which is dubbed ‘Big Business’ and will take place in her hometown, Boston, MA.
