The storyline took an intriguing turn when Kross’s wife, Scarlett Bordeaux, became involved by attempting to seduce Styles during a match. Now, it has been suggested that this seduction spot was a creative idea from WWE Chairman Vince McMahon.
The feud between Karrion Kross and AJ Styles has been escalating, with a mixed tag team match taking place on the June 16 episode of WWE’s Blue Brand. During this match, Kross and Bordeaux teamed up against Styles and Michin, ultimately defeating them.
In the match, Scarlett Bordeaux attempted to distract AJ Styles by using her seductive charms, aiming to divert his attention away from Karrion Kross. Styles, however, responded by pointing to his wedding ring and sternly telling her, “I’m married, b****.”
Jim Cornette, a veteran of professional wrestling, shared his perspective on the seduction spot during an episode of the Jim Cornette Experience podcast. Cornette expressed his belief that this creative idea was typical of Vince McMahon’s style. He explained that he has seen variations of this theme in wrestling for over two decades, where a female character attempts to use seduction as a distraction or plot device.
Cornette went on to critique AJ Styles’ response to the situation, suggesting that instead of engaging with Scarlett Bordeaux, Styles could have ignored her, thrown her out of the ring, or simply rejected her advances. Ultimately, Karrion Kross took advantage of the distraction and applied a sleeper hold to Styles, resulting in a quick victory for Kross.
