According to Harper Bazar, Scarlett Johansson recently had a delightful conversation with Gwyneth Paltrow on her Goop podcast, where she talked about her past relationships, including her marriages. Paltrow asked Johansson how many times she had been married, to which Johansson replied that it was three times. Paltrow then exclaimed, “Oh that’s right! I forgot that you were married to Ryan Reynolds! Goals!”
Johansson couldn’t help but laugh at Paltrow’s excitement, and she responded by saying, “Yes! We weren’t married very long.” Paltrow quickly chimed in with, “It still counts!” and joked that she and her family love a good Ryan Reynolds.
Johansson had been married to Reynolds from 2008 to 2011, and they had tied the knot when she was only 23 and he was 31. After their split, Johansson moved on with French journalist Romain Dauriac, with whom she had a daughter named Rose Dorothy Dauriac. Reynolds, on the other hand, got married to Blake Lively in 2012, and they now have four children.
In the podcast, Johansson shared how her past relationships helped her realize what she needed from a partner, which eventually led her to find love with Colin Jost. “I didn’t know what I wanted or needed from somebody else,” she said. “I never realized, ‘Oh, it’s really important for me—I need to be with a compassionate person. That’s a fundamental characteristic that has to be there.'”
Johansson married Jost in 2020, and the couple welcomed their son Cosmo Jost in 2021. Despite her previous marriages, Johansson seems to have found her soulmate in Jost, who is a writer and comedian on Saturday Night Live.
