Shane McMahon Tried To Rehire WCW Champion

Vince Russo revealed on his ChannelAttitude.com podcast that he spoke with Shane McMahon on the phone a couple of years ago, and Shane said WWE ‘needed’ him back, and even Kevin Dunn was in agreement. Russo’s emails with Vince McMahon didn’t work out at the time, and it wasn’t meant to be.

WWE Chairman Vince McMahon has the last say in all that goes on in the company, for better or worse. Vince McMahon also sabotaged Jon Moxley’s matches.

Vince McMahon has been WWE Chairman since 1982 and saw various changes in his company over the last few decades as well. All through that, he continued to adapt to the changing times. However, many fans now feel that he is out of touch and simply does not know what is good for a WWE Superstar. The WWE Chairman is larger than life in many ways and he also has his peculiarities which people find hard to believe.

“The Mountie” Jacques Rougeau seems to have a very interesting claim about Vince McMahon when it comes to The British Bulldogs. Davey Boy Smith and The Dynamite Kid were known for their backstage antics which led to a lot of trouble backstage in the WWE as well. The former Intercontinental Champion recently spoke on the ‘It’s My Wrestling” podcast, where he claimed that Vince McMahon was afraid of Davey Boy Smith and The Dynamite Kid. McMahon was accused of ‘half encouraging’ their behind-the-scenes pranks.

Vince McMahon himself is also known for his love of pranks, so this was not necessarily a surprise whatsoever.

“I think that Vince was afraid of The Bulldogs bullying. I think he was half encouraging it and half saying, hey guys, that’s not funny, you know? I think it wasn’t the way may be to approach it because the Bulldogs were saying ‘Okay, he heard it. He laughed a little bit, but he didn’t fire us. So I think we could keep going.’ They got worse and worse. So when I stood up, the only guy who stood up to them, I think Vince realized that he screwed up, that he shouldn’t let it go that far,”
