The Los Angeles Lakers legend has been one of the most successful basketball players ever to play the game. He broke several records and earned numerous accolades cementing himself as one of the game’s legends. It has been noted that he has a soft heart when it comes to romance. Shaq was crushing hard on actress Halle Berry back in the day

Earlier, on an episode of the Kelly Clarkson Show, the 4-time NBA champion had revealed how he was once, during a game, thrown off by the Catwoman star’s presence in the audience. Although many years have passed since Shaq was at LSU, in a recent podcast appearance, the big man had more to reveal about his Berry infatuation.

Shaq opens up on Halle Berry

Shaquille O’Neal married Shaunie Nelson in 2002 after he gained major success in the league. However, the two eventually split up five years later as both went on to date other people and have since moved on.

Recently, Shaquille O’Neal sat down with Ernestine Morrison, Sarah Fontenot, and Amber Tai for an episode of the ‘It’s Non-Negotiable’ podcast. The three ladies and the Los Angeles Lakers legend featured in a one-hour episode. In conversation, Sarah Fontenot asked the four-time NBA champion about his wildest story that has never been told before.

Shaq revealed a story involving one of his favorite celebrities and 90s icons, Halle Berry.

As Sarah asked Shaq about the story, he said, “So, in college, Halle Berry is my favorite. I wrote her, and she wrote me back. Forget that she wrote me back, like ‘Oh my god, Halle Berry knows who I am.’ So, for a kid in college, getting ready to be the first pick, that’s a big thing.”

“So, as every guy’s dream to see their favorite person. Four seasons, L.A. on Donhey, I guess they’re doing a press jacket. So, I’m in the elevator by myself and doors open up and it’s Halle Berry!” added Shaq.
