Shawn Michaels said on the MMA Hour that Vince McMahon wanted to die working for WWE, saying he’d die at his desk. Michaels also said Vince once told him he’d be fine dying at the gorilla position, and he’d want the show to go on.
Michaels and Triple H are now the head honchos of WWE creative for NXT and the main roster respectively, and Triple H recently brought in a big UFC name. Officiating anything can be tedious and it can take a toll on people. Even the best of the best can’t deliver on it unless they have been doing the job for a considerable time.
Daniel Cormier is a UFC Hall of Famer. He was called in to officiate the match between Matt Riddle and Seth ‘Freakin’ Rollins. Seth donned RVD gear and did his signature frog splash move as well.
It was during the moments of the match that Riddle and Cormier had a brief altercation. It was the heat in the moment, but what’s incredible to know is that the official didn’t lose his cool while being a part of the match.
While discussing his situation on the ESPN MMA’s DC&RC Show, Cormier admitted that he forgot the ending of the match and went with the flow. Daniel said:
I was in the back and I was nervous, because obviously you know the outcome, I started forgetting the match, I was like oh my goodness.
I forgot the (ending), I was so nervous bro, but once I walked out there bro, it was so fun! The energy of the crowd, is like second to none.
WWE fans want to see Daniel Cormier inside a WWE ring and even Matt Riddle has expressed his desire to see Cormier between the wrestling ropes.
It would be interesting to see when Cormier removes his officiating gear and donnes a dress that matches his standards.
