SNL Star Says Trump Cheated On Melania With…

During the 2024 White House Correspondents’ Dinner, “Saturday Night Live” star Colin Jost stepped away from his usual Weekend Update role to deliver a satirical monologue focusing on the 2024 presidential race. Jost’s humor targeted both President Joe Biden and former President Donald Trump, pointing out the absurdity of the current state of politics.

“There is an election six extremely long months from now. So, let me see if I can summarize where this race stands at this moment,” Jost said. “The Republican candidate for president owes half a billion in fines for bank fraud, and is currently spending his days farting himself awake during a porn star hush money trial, and the race is tied?! The race is tied. Nothing makes sense anymore.”

Jost continued, “The candidate, who is a famous New York City playboy, took abortion rights away, and the guy who’s trying to give you back your abortion rights is an 80-year-old Catholic. How does that make sense?”

Jost’s remarks about the upcoming election highlighted the contrasting backgrounds and controversies surrounding the candidates. He humorously observed that the race was tied despite one candidate facing significant legal issues. The reference to Trump owing half a billion in fines for bank fraud and undergoing a trial related to hush money payments to a porn star garnered laughter from the audience, emphasizing the bizarre state of politics.

He also noted the odd dynamic between a “famous New York City playboy” who restricted abortion rights and the 80-year-old Catholic who supports restoring them. Jost’s comments reflected the complexities and contradictions in the political landscape, garnering both laughs and nods of agreement from the audience.

The event, attended by nearly 3,000 people, included celebrities such as Jost’s wife, Scarlett Johansson, along with other notable figures like Molly Ringwald, Da’Vine Joy Randolph, Jon Hamm, and Caitlyn Jenner. Biden administration officials, including Alejandro Mayorkas, Janet Yellen, and Bill Burns, also attended, demonstrating the varied and high-profile nature of the annual dinner.
