Numerous musicians share the desire of winning a Grammy Award in the music industry. In the music industry, it represents quality, recognition, and the height of success.

Not all Grammy-nominated performers, nevertheless, have had the honor of winning the coveted golden gramophone award.

There are a lot of well-known musicians that have received an astounding amount of Grammy nominations but have not won the grand prize, despite their extraordinary abilities and accomplishments.

From rap icons like Snoop Dogg and Nicki Minaj to pop sensations like Katy Perry and Lana Del Rey, and even legendary figures like Diana Ross and Tupac Shakur, these artists have left an indelible mark on the music landscape, but their Grammy journeys have been marked by near misses.

Long Beach native Snoop Dogg has been disappointed since receiving his first Grammy nomination in 1994 for his song “Nuthin’ but a ‘G’ Thang,” which he co-wrote with Dr. Dre.

Impressively, Snoop Dogg has received 16 Grammy nominations. In 2016, he received a nomination for Album of the Year for his work on “To Pimp a Butterfly,” which was his most recent nomination.

Notably, Snoop Dogg is nominated for Grammy awards in three distinct genres: pop, reggae, and rap. This shows how versatile he is as an artist.
