TNA held another set of Impact Wrestling TV tapings on Thursday night from Orlando, Florida at Universal Studios. Here are some of the news and notes from the tapings…
– Drew Galloway’s group, “The Rising,” broke up after losing a match to the Beatdown Clan.
– Brooke Tessmacher won the TNA Knockouts Title from Taryn Terrell. The match should air on the July 8th episode of Impact.
– The Wolves defeated Austin Aries and Bobby Roode in an Iron Man Match to win the vacant TNA Tag Team Titles. No word on when that match will air on Impact.
– TNA crowned a new world heavyweight champion when Ethan Carter III won the TNA World Heavyweight Title from Kurt Angle. As noted, this match will be airing next Wednesday night (July 1st).
– Ethan Carter III announced that TNA President Dixie Carter would be returning to TV on the July 15th episode.
– Following last night’s TV tapings, Ethan Carter III and his family were in the ring celebrating his world title win. Rockstar Spud and Tommy Dream ran down to attack EC3 and send the crowd home happy.
