Star Trek Star Threatens To Get Trump Arrested

Whoopi Goldberg, co-host of “The View,” asserted on Tuesday that former President Trump ought to be incarcerated in light of his remarks regarding the mismanagement of Social Security benefit programs.

Trump was queried on CNBC this week regarding potential alterations to “entitlement programs” like Medicare and Social Security.

“There is a lot you can do in terms of entitlement, in terms of cutting and in terms of also the theft and the bad management of entitlements,” Trump remarked.

“I know that they’re going to end up weakening Social Security because the country is weak,” he appended.

Reacting to the clip, Goldberg remarked, “Yeah, we could put you in jail for all your entitlements.”

“Social Security is not an entitlement. We paid for that,” she proclaimed, prompting cheers from the audience.

Per the Social Security Administration, the Social Security benefit programs are classified as “entitlement” programs.

This signifies that workers, employers, and the self-employed finance the benefits through their Social Security taxes.

The taxes collected are allocated to special trust funds.

It’s termed an entitlement program because American citizens and their employers contribute FICA taxes to qualify for benefits after a certain number of quarters or upon reaching a specific age, at which point they are deemed “entitled” to those benefits.

California Gov. Gavin Newsom faced criticism Monday after sharing a truncated clip of Trump’s CNBC remarks on social media.

“Here is Donald Trump himself telling the American people he will slash Social Security and Medicare,” Newsom stated. “Remember this in November.”

Unless significant changes are enacted before 2034 to fortify the entitlement program, over 66 million Americans could face a reduction in benefits.

According to the latest findings from the Social Security and Medicare Trustees, the Social Security retirement fund might deplete by 2033, a year earlier than previously projected.
