Steve Austin WrestleMania 39 Bombshell Revealed

WE Hall Of Famer Stone Cold Steve Austin’s feud with The Rock has gone down in history as one of the most iconic feuds in all of professional wrestling. Their feud ended at WrestleMania 19 in 2003, which was Steve Austin’s final match as an in-ring competitor. It was the third match at WrestleMania in their feud. Steve Austin and The Rock Smackdown return also leaked previously.

After that match, the WWE Hall Of Famer was supposed to face off against Brock Lesnar. However, he chose to leave WWE and retire from the squared circle for good. He has yet to compete in the ring since his retirement back then.

Steve Austin squared off against Kevin Owens in a No Holds Barred match at WrestleMania 38 Night One’s main event. In the end, Steve Austin won the match. He also made an appearance during WrestleMania 38 Night 2, where he hit the Stone Cold Stunner to Pat McAfee, Vince McMahon, and Austin Theory.

According to WrestlingNews.co, it was said that Vince McMahon would have loved to see Steve Austin do more in WWE. However, it is very unlikely he will ever compete in WWE again after this at WrestleMania 39 or other events.

While McMahon would probably love to have Austin do more, the word going around backstage is that Austin was happy with his performance in the match with Kevin Owens and there are no plans for him to wrestle again.

Speaking about his highly acclaimed series of WrestleMania matchups on his show, Pat McAfee stated how he didn’t know the Stone Cold Steve Austin moment was going to happen. Credit to Cultaholic for the below.

“You should have heard the stadium whenever he was thinking about it, whenever he had that jacket on and he started tempting taking it off, man there was like a buzz raising in there, so I was like is this…is this…? So people need to know, like the wrestling business. People understand what the wrestling business is, but there are things that happen out there on a very regular occasion that is not like, you know, hey like this is not how this was supposed to go, and you just are, like there are people that are around that are like ‘oh hey yeah, this is happening now’ basically, you know and I’m just like, what the? Alright,” McAfee added.

“So I sat up on the ropes, you know, I sat there for a second and I looked around and I saw a 76-year-old Vince McMahon taking his shirt off, I’m like ‘is this a movie right now?’ Like this has to be a simulation and then obviously Austin Theory attacks me from behind, Vince abuses his power, and that ref, what the f**k was he doing?”
