Sting AEW Match Leads To Painful Botch

Rampage: Grand Slam opened with a No Disqualification Match pitting Sting and Darby Allin against Buddy Matthews and Brody King of the House of Black. Buddy and Brody were also accompanied by Julia Hart.

Darby Allin plunged himself and Brody King off of the stage, resulting in Darby splitting open his head. On Twitter, Darby Allin showed the aftermath and the staples in his head and had a very simple message, “Worth it.” Julia Hart had a bad table botch.

Sting and Darby Allin defeated  Buddy Matthews and Brody King in a No Disqualification Match on AEW Rampage. But, it didn’t come without some help. Moments before the final bell, Matthews had Sting in big trouble but a surprise appearance from The Great Muta stopped him in his tracks. Muta went on to spit mist in Buddy’s face to lead Sting into victory. Sting and Muta were great rivals in the 80’s and now the two have crossed paths again in 2022. But, this won’t be the last time. After Rampage, Pro Wrestling NOAH announced that Sting will be headed over to Japan to participate in The Great Myra’s retirement match, Sunday, January 22, 2023.
