‘Stone Cold’ Steve Austin says he tried to knock out Booker T in a match

‘Stone Cold’ Steve Austin was a mainstay of WWE during the late 90s and early 2000s, where he competed against many top Superstars of the time such as Shawn Michaels, The Undertaker and many more. This included Booker T during the WCW Invasion angle in 2001.

Steve Austin recently spoke on Booker T’s Hall of Fame Podcast, where Austin revealed that he once tried to actually knock out Booker T during a match.

Austin explained that Booker T hit him with a hard right punch. Following the punch, Austin was instantly angry and tried to legitimately hit Booker T with a hard punch of his own, intending to knock him out. However, the punch did not connect.

“Booker hauled off and hit me with that big ass right hand of his. I mean he knocked the trash out of me. I’m normally very, very forgiving but when guys start throwing potatoes. He lit me up so hard, instant rage came across me and I sent a receipt like ASAP. Micro process, here it comes and I threw it with everything I had.

The problem is this arm doesn’t straighten out all the way. He was just back far enough that I couldn’t connect with him but I was trying to knock his ass out.”
