The Rock has been slated to make his return to WWE. There is a huge possibility that he could make his comeback at WrestleMania 38 in Dallas to square off against WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns. It was previously reported that there is not much plans for the match. ‘The Great One’ also recently spoke to Andrew Freund from Dish Nation where he addressed the rumored bout. The Rock opens up on the reports
He did not slam the idea of a match with Reigns ever happening, he put the current rumors to bed. He said quite plainly that they’re not true:
“I can tell you, there is no truth to that right now. Possibly down the road, we will see. We stay very close, myself and Roman Reigns, and I’m very happy and very proud with the work he is doing as well as The Usos, my other family members. Those guys will continue to do what they’re doing and we’ll see down the road.”
The Rock’s return to WWE has also been rumored for Survivor Series. But it was noted that would be out of the country working on his TV series, Young Rock. While his future in the WWE remains an unknown, there is no question that The Rock has been busy. He’s recently been out promoting his latest movie, Red Notice which also stars Gal Gadot and Ryan Reynolds in the new action-comedy.
