The Rock In Trouble With Big WWE Names

Prior to the March 15th, 2024 edition of WWE Smackdown, Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson shared a video promo on his social media platforms. In the clip, The Rock utilized profanity multiple times, including a remark where he directed Cody Rhodes to “shut the f*ck up.”

Aaron Varble of SEScoops.com highlighted that WWE President Nick Khan, Paul “Triple H” Levesque, and Dan Ventrelle had recently issued a memo to WWE talent, emphasizing the importance of adhering to PG guidelines on both television and social media. Varble pointed out that The Rock’s social media promos have sparked discontent among some talent, as they perceive a double standard.

Varble commented on the situation, stating:

“It appears that The Rock is permitted to freely use profanity on social media, while the rest of the roster is constrained by PG guidelines. Additionally, I have been informed that talent are questioning why The Rock receives preferential treatment. The sentiment is that ‘even though he is a major movie star, shouldn’t everyone be subject to the same standards? Why can he curse and leverage that to gain popularity, while everyone else is restricted?’”
