The Rock Returns To WWE With Ex-AEW Star?

The Rock has been rumored to make his return soon and he might not be the only one to return. It seems Cody Rhodes might return before WrestleMania next year. The Undisputed WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns reported plans for WWE WrestleMania 39 had emerged. Xero News recently reported that The Tribal Chief could perform on both nights of next year’s Showcase of The Immortals to defend both of his world titles. However, it seemed that the reports were shot down.

Roman Reigns could work both nights

In the latest edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Dave Meltzer reported that there had been discussions about Reigns working both nights of WrestleMania 39. Meltzer wrote:

“One of the things talked about internally in WWE is for Reigns to wrestle both nights at Mania, with the working ideas being Cody Rhodes and Dwayne Johnson. Nothing is definite and actually today the best bet is that it won’t take place like that. There is also talk of splitting up the titles so Raw has a world champion after Mania.”

WWE wants to have plans finalized before mid-January, and this idea of Reigns potentially wrestling on both nights of Mania is just speculative and solid plan is yet to be chalked out. The Undisputed WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns led The Bloodline to a huge win at WWE Survivor Series WarGames last night. The show is in the history books. Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens had a staredown during the match but Jimmy Uso came in with a superkick attempt which KO blocked only for Zayn to deliver a low blow. He charged in with a Helluva Kick and he then laid him down for Jey Uso who hits the Splash to win it for his team. Reigns reportedly suffered an injury during the match. Footage of the moment he sustained the injury is also circulating on social media.
