WWE has changed since the Endeavour deal became official. There was news that some people may be laid off, and some others may be asked to leave. It looks like the former is coming true as three WWE stars are in a situation where they are no longer under a WWE contract.
According to the report recieved by Ringside News, Elias is no longer under a WWE contract. Dave Meltzer on Wrestling Observer Radio reported that, The Grizzled Young Veterans are no longer with the WWE.
Rip Fowler and Jagger Reid started off in the UK version of NXT in 2018 before switching gears and moving to the States-version of the developmental brand. 2019 saw them become the inaugural NXT UK Tag Team Champions, and in 2020 they came to the United States.
Elias, on the other hand, hasn’t been discussed since June. His character lost the charm since his brother storyline started and while he trained with The Undertaker recently, he doesn’t seem to be in a contractual position wherein he would be between the ropes in the foreseeable future. BWE posted this in response to a fan asking him on the future of Elias.
He’s without a professional contract at the moment.
Elias’ character is such that it resonates with the WWE Universe and fans always used to answer when The Drifter asked on what ‘WWE stands for’ during any performance. ‘Walk With Elias’ was a permanent crowd reaction, but looks like no one is currently available to ‘Walk With Elias.’
Rip Fowler and Jagger Reid aka as Grizzled Young Veterans are gone from WWE/NXT:
“Their contract is up, and I thought there was going to be some kind of angle or something, but it’s just, they’re gone.”
