The former TNA star Joey Ryan has been a controversial figure in the pro wrestling business. He had gained popularity on the independent scene, being part of “The World’s Cutest Tag Team” with Candice LeRae. This would lead to Ryan competing in the biggest independent promotions in the world for a time.
However, his style in the ring was blasted on multiple occasions as it was a sexually oriented gimmick. It revolved around Joey Ryan’s penis. Ryan was blackballed in the pro wrestling industry following the Speaking Out Movement, where many came forward accusing Ryan of sexual assault and harassment.
Joey Ryan seemingly joined Disneyland
Now, it appears Ryan has a new career as a handler at Disneyland for the Jungle Cruise attraction. There had been rumors suggesting the former wrestler was working at Disneyland, with this being confirmation. Twitter user @Mr_GQ_Cantu shared a photo of Ryan working at the attraction.
Joey Ryan attempted to counter sue the victims who came out and accused him of assault, with many of them being thrown out almost immediately in March of 2021. Ryan has always maintained his innocence despite the accusations made against him. Ryan also failed to sue IMPACT Wrestling in a lawsuit also. Ryan has been blackballed in the industry since the accusations were made in 2020, and it appears now he is completely away from the pro wrestling scene now.
It was last year that it was reported Ryan was trying ot make a comeback to pro wrestling. However, the star denied that he was “trying to come back to wrestling” and said he had been asked to “wrestle a good friend as a way to go out and gain some closure”
