Tony Khan addresses criticism regarding Le Dinner Debonair segment

The Le Dinner Debonair segment featured Chris Jericho and MJF singing and dancing together. It received a lot of praise from fans and wrestlers alike. However, it also received criticism from fans as well who did not want a musical segment in their professional wrestling show.

Tony Khan is certainly a fan of the segment. He spoke to PW Insider, where he defended the segment. He said that it was sandwiched between some solid action that night. On its own, it was still very unique and added variety to the show.

“So Dinner Debonair was a variety segment, it got people talking, absolutely as we expected. And it was sandwiched in a show with so much in-ring action. It took place on a show where you had Penta versus Phoenix and Wardlow versus Jungle Boy and the tag match and all these great in-ring matches.”

Tony Khan then compared the segment to the Town Hall segment where he said:

“They’re very different from each other. I don’t know how you can compare those two segments, they are apples and oranges.”
