WWE is home to an array of Superstars, each one eager to grab more screen time and showcase their talents to fans across the globe. However, despite the overwhelming fan support some individuals receive, they seem to disappear without a trace.
One such wrestler is Aliyah, a talented 28-year-old who hasn’t graced a WWE ring since relinquishing the Women’s Tag Team Titles back in September of the previous year. Although she keeps her fans updated via social media, showcasing her rigorous workout regimes and horseback riding adventures, she has yet to appear in any television tapings.
In November, Ringside News released an exclusive report stating that Aliyah was in fact not injured and had been working hard to make a comeback. She has a reputation of being transparent about her injuries in the past, so it came as no surprise that she was cleared to return. However, despite her availability, she was nowhere to be seen on the television screens.
Months later, we reached out to get an update on Aliyah’s status, and it turns out that she still hasn’t made her return to the WWE. What’s more, we were informed that her name wasn’t even mentioned in creative meetings, indicating that the company had no plans to utilize her at the moment. It’s an unfortunate state of affairs for Aliyah, who has garnered a lot of support from her loyal fans since her Breaking Ground days. She worked incredibly hard in NXT, and it was a major accomplishment for her when she was finally promoted to the main roster, only to be left in limbo shortly after.
It’s a disappointing situation for Aliyah’s fans who have been rooting for her for years. They know the potential that she possesses and the impact that she could make if given the opportunity. Hopefully, the WWE will soon recognize the talent that they have in Aliyah and give her the chance to shine once again. After all, she could easily fill a valuable position on the roster and be a force to be reckoned with in the Women’s division.
We've asked around about Aliyah's WWE status.
She's still with the company, but we have confirmed that her name doesn't come up in creative meetings. She just isn't talked about at all anymore.
