The creative team that WWE has are truly an enigma. There are some ideas that are great and some ideas that are not so great. Sometimes it ends up in the middle and other times it just falls flat on its face. This leak is really all up for interpretation. Ted DiBiase was a nice touch to NXT with the ‘Million Dollar Belt’. The entire storyline brought in some of the older crowd who remembered DiBiase from his peak. On the recent NXT showing DiBiase and Cameron Grimes walked outside towards the end of the show. The Million Dollar Man, Ted DiBiase then entered into a car to wait for Grimes. Grimes ended up passing the title back over to Ted.
The reason for Grimes handing back the famed belt was due to Cameron Grimes thinking that Ted deserved to have his belt back. Ted DiBiase then changed his mind about keeping the title. He handed the title back to Grimes, and then Cameron discovered that DiBiase actually pulled the ‘ol bait and switch and replaced the belt with a replica. At this point, Ted was already on his way out.
It looks like WWE are putting an end to this storyline, and I must say, if this is the end of it, it was really a terrible way to do so. Special thanks to Ringside News for the info.
