Triple H Tried To Sign Four Top AEW Stars

Triple H is currently the COO of WWE and he is also a veteran in the world of professional wrestling, having competed in several great matches and countless memorable moments during his time as an active in-ring competitor in the company. On the other hand, Vince McMahon is WWE’s Chairman and oversees everything that goes on in the company, right to the very last detail. Roman Reign’s bold message to Vince McMahon was also leaked previously.

Kenny Omega, The Young Bucks and Adam Page were the talk of the town after their NJPW and Ring Of Honor contracts expired a few years ago as several fans believed they might have gone to WWE. Current AEW star Matt Hardy recently spoke on The Extreme Life of Matt Hardy, Matt Hardy revealed that Triple H really wanted to bring The Elite to WWE and even offered a ton of money for that cause.
“So long story short, I didn’t speak to Adam Page, but I did speak to the Young Bucks a lot, and they were also in negotiations. WWE was trying to get all these guys, they wanted to lock them all down. But I do know that Triple H, Trips was all over those guys (Omega, Bucks, and Hangman) as far as trying to bring them in, and they offered them a ton of money and I know they did Hangman as well. You just got to think how different would the present look if those guys did leave and go to WWE?’”

WWE have released Braun Strowman, Aleister Black, Lana, Ruby Riott, Santana Garrett, and Buddy Murphy. The reason cited was part of budget cuts, and Strowman was being paid $1.2 million per year according to The Wrestling Observer Newsletter. The former WWE Universal Champion signed a new contract in October 2019, so the budget cut regarding Strowman is the WWE’s biggest saving financially from all of the talent cuts in the last year plus during the pandemic. Braun Strowman was fired by WWE for a very surprising reason as well.
