Trish Stratus Humiliated WWE Diva’s Husband

Trish Stratus was the female face of the late Attitude Era, while The Rock was the face of male stars during the Attitude Era. There is no doubt that The Rock is still regarded as of the most popular pro wrestlers in the history of the business. He has competed against the best of the best as far as the world of professional wrestling.

Trish Stratus was a powerhouse in the world of professional wrestling, making her mark as one of the most dominant female competitors of her time. She reigned supreme as the WWE Women’s Champion seven times, and her impact on the industry was recognized with her induction into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2013. In a recent interview, Stratus remembered a backstage confrontation she had with fellow WWE Superstar, John Morrison.

At WrestleMania 27, Stratus joined forces with John Morrison and Snooki in a thrilling tag team match against LayCool and Dolph Ziggler. Despite their hard-fought victory, Morrison snubbed Stratus’s celebratory gesture to raise his hand. The following night on RAW, Morrison repeated this gesture after he and Stratus claimed another win against Ziggler and Vickie Guerrero. This incident, famously known as “The Cold Shoulder” in WWE circles, has sparked speculation that Morrison was unhappy about Stratus taking Melina’s place in the match.

During a 2019 interview with Lilian Garcia, Trish Stratus recounted bare her frustration with John Morrison’s unprofessional behavior. Despite the sting of his rebuffs, she expressed gratitude for having the backbone to stand up for herself. The rumor mill had it that Morrison was irate with Stratus for taking the place of his then-girlfriend Melina in the match.

Stratus and Morrison’s backstage confrontation after the RAW match was a heated one, but the seven-time Women’s Champion was grateful for the support she received from her peers in the locker room. The situation was diffused without any physical altercation, and Stratus sees the episode as a testament to the significance of mutual respect in the high-stakes world of professional wrestling.

“We [Stratus and Morrison] had a little conversation in the back. It wasn’t a little conversation actually, it was the first time I actually, like we were passionately talking about it. But basically, I was like, ‘You just stole a moment from a performance. Whatever you feel about me, maybe you think you’re not cool with me. Which is fine, I don’t mind, but we’re performing, and tonight we’re partners, and the crowd was excited about us as a team, as a partnership. And you’ve taken that moment from the fans. And it’s like, for what, right? You can wait five seconds later, I’m gone tomorrow,.”

Trish Stratus’ story is a testament to her strength and perseverance. It also serves as a reminder that respect is a two-way street in the wrestling business.

“And he went into this whole thing, and said, ‘Well you’ve taken a spot from another superstar by being here.’ And I was like, ‘Nope. I have not taken a spot from someone. I was assigned this spot. I’m on this show called Tough Enough that airs after this [Raw], and they brought me back for that.’ So it kinda got a lot of big buzz. And then eventually, he got released and everyone thought it was because of that incident. But who knows, whatever.”
