Chris Christie is the 2024 candidate and appeared at the GOP. While he was present, a special someone decided to skip the conversation at the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library in Simi Valley, California. Donald Trump decided to go for a primetime address to union members in Detroit.
According to Mediaite, Christie took shots at Donald Trump and called him a new nickname ‘Donald Duck’. He said all of this while getting booed by the audience in attendance. This was the second GOP Debate, and happened on Wednesday night.
The front runner Donald Trump’s first run as the President of The United States saw the January 6th event and that was a direct reflection of the violence across the country. When asked about how he plans to curb such violent situations, Christie spoke out and sent a stern-message to the former President.
We’ve got to bring law and order back to this country and not just in our cities, but we need to bring order back everywhere. We need law and order back in our suburbs, people are threatened. We need law and order in our rural areas, people feel threatened there and we need it in Washington, D.C. also.
And Donald Trump should be here to answer for that. But he’s not. And I want to look at that camera right now. Tell you, Donald, I know you’re watching. You can’t help yourself. I know you’re watching. Okay.
You’re not here tonight, not because of polls and not because of your indictments. You’re not here tonight because you’re afraid of being on the stage and defending your record.
You’re ducking these things. And let me tell you what’s going to happen. You keep doing that. No one up here is going to call you Donald Trump anymore. We’re going to call you Donald Duck.
It’s interesting to see that there are people within the party that don’t see well about Trump’s actions during his run as the 45th President of The United States. One would have to see if Donald Trump would appear during other debates or skip them just like he did this time. Trump has responded on Truth Social, calling Christie a bum.
