Former President Donald Trump recently alleged that immigrants in the United States are speaking languages that no one else in the country speaks or has heard of via Mediaite.
It has been noted that addressing a crowd in Phoenix, Arizona on Thursday, Trump lambasted President Joe Biden for his handling of the southern border and his immigration policies overall. Trump dubiously claimed that Venezuela and other countries are exporting their criminal populations to the U.S.
“Think how bad that is,” he told the crowd before saying that’s exactly what he would do if he were the leader of a Latin American country. “I have to say, I would be the first one that would’ve done it. And I wouldn’t be having 50% jail population. I’d be down to zero.”
The former president went on to claim that some immigrants’ native languages are ones that “nobody” speaks:
They get cell phones, they get hospitalization, they get education even though they can’t speak a word of English. They’re taking the seats of people and the instructors talk in English and they have somebody speaking in some cases languages that we’d never even heard of. You know, there are a lot of languages that we don’t have here. We have nobody that even speaks these languages.
Trump went on to say, “Our country is going to hell and we’re gonna stop it on November 5th.”
Back in February, Trump put the kibosh on a bipartisan immigration bill crafted by Sen. James Lankford (R-OK). The former president reportedly made it clear that he intends to attack Biden on immigration and wanted to maintain the border as a campaign issue. As Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) said at the time, “We don’t want to do anything to undermine [Trump].”
