Former President Donald Trump recently poked fun at Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis for his footwear and claimed his Republican rival wears 6-inch heels during a New Hampshire rally via Media Ite.
On Saturday, the Republican frontrunner spoke to supporters in Claremont, New Hampshire where hammered his opposition in the GOP primary, singling out DeSantis for his choice of footwear.
It has come to light that Trump himself along with his supporters have begun mocking DeSantis for wearing boots, claiming he’s wearing 6-inch heels to boost his height. DeSantis denied these allegations in the past but has mostly ignored Trump’s new insults.
The insults started hurling out at DeSantis when Trump mentioned the NBC News Debate on Wednesday night, claiming that DeSantis struggled to walk around on the stage because of his boots.
“I’m not wearing lifts either, by the way. I don’t have six inch heels,” Trump blurted out to the audience. “Actually the greatest moment of the debate when Ron was walking around, Desanctimonious was, walking off the stage. And his feet. It’s weird because his cowboy boots, so they have a high heel outside. But inside you got a big deal going on and he’s walking away.”
Trump then begins to walk away from the podium with his arms flailing in the air as he pretends to have a hard time walking. His insults and jests were met with laughs and applause from the MAGA crowd.
“He’s walking off the stage like he’s trying to balance himself. I thought he was wearing ice skates. No, what difference does that make, Right? What difference when you think about it, what difference does that make,” Trump concluded.
