According to CNN, House Oversight Chair James Comer and House Judiciary Chair Jim Jordan, both Republicans, announced on Wednesday that they intend to initiate contempt of Congress proceedings against Hunter Biden for his refusal to participate in a closed-door deposition related to the impeachment inquiry into President Joe Biden. Hunter Biden had insisted on testifying publicly and declined to appear for the closed-door session.
In a joint statement, Comer and Jordan asserted that Hunter Biden had defied lawful subpoenas, and they emphasized that they would not provide special treatment based on his last name.
