Trump Lawyer ‘Warns’ Female Victim Before Penthouse…

In a recent segment on Newsmax’s The Balance, Alina Habba, the attorney representing former President Donald Trump, took aim at E. Jean Carroll’s post-verdict actions in the defamation case against Trump. Carroll had been awarded $83.3 million by a jury, but Habba expressed confidence in Trump winning on appeal.

During the interview with Newsmax host Eric Bolling, Habba criticized Carroll for what she perceived as gloating and seeking publicity rather than genuine concern for the defamation. Habba described the trial as an “epic Twilight Zone” where rules seemed to apply only to one side. She specifically pointed to Carroll’s statements about buying luxury items, such as a penthouse apartment and a motorcycle for MSNBC host Rachel Maddow, following the verdict.

Habba argued that Carroll’s actions demonstrated a focus on publicity and financial gain rather than the alleged defamation. She emphasized this perspective during her closing argument to the jury, asserting that Carroll’s primary motive was to obtain a monetary settlement.

Expressing confidence in the appeal process, Habba predicted that issues related to the trial’s one-sidedness and specific rulings would be revisited, ultimately leading to a favorable outcome for Trump. She concluded her remarks with a piece of advice for Carroll, cautioning her against making significant purchases like motorcycles or penthouse apartments in light of the anticipated appeal.

Carroll had made headlines by offering Maddow various luxury items during an appearance on MSNBC, seemingly celebrating the jury’s decision. She mentioned plans for new wardrobes, a motorcycle for one of her lawyers, a fishing rod, and even jokingly offering a penthouse and a trip to France to Maddow.

As legal proceedings continue, the public is left to follow the twists and turns of this high-profile defamation case, with Habba’s statements providing insight into the Trump legal team’s strategy and confidence in challenging the jury’s decision through the appellate process.

It was like being in an epic Twilight Zone where no rules were allowed but for the other side, and then she goes out there and gloats and says she’s gonna buy France, and a wardrobe, and a motorcycle, and this and that. I want everyone to remember, and I said this in my closing argument to the jury, she’s here to get a check and after this she will continue. She didn’t care, you know, about the defamation. She didn’t. She cared about the publicity.
