Trump Melts Down After He’s Caught Asleep In…

It has been noted that former President Donald Trump recently blasted “people on TV lying and spewing hate” after he was caught sleeping in court, and demanded Judge Juan Merchan “take off the gag order” and allow him to “respond” via Mediaite.

Monday was quite a day as Trump’s trial for allegedly falsifying business records to pay off porn star Stormy Daniels got underway. It is noted that Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg alleges those 34 felony counts constitute a plot to interfere with the 2016 presidential election by burying the story of Trump’s alleged extramarital affair with Daniels.

There were courtroom drama as a ruling by Judge Juan Merchan that will allow ex-Playboy Playmate Karen McDougal — whose alleged affair with Trump, the National Enquirer’s publisher admitted to covering up “in concert” with Trump’s campaign — to testify. There was also Trump’s unusual demand to be included in sidebars.

And there was the Nap Heard Round The World that was reported and in an especially cruel twist, by Maggie Haberman — the reporter with the most influence over Trump. Haberman later confirmed to CNN that Trump glared at her following that bit of reporting, which became the subject of banter and mockery all over the news — and from the Biden campaign.

On Tuesday morning, Trump raged in a Truth Social post that the judge’s gag order leaves him unable to respond to the people “lying and spewing hate”:

This conflicted, Trump Hating Judge won’t let me respond to people that are on TV lying and spewing hate all day long. He is running rough shod over my lawyers and legal team. The New York System of “Justice” is being decimated by critics from all over the World. I want to speak, or at least be able to respond. Election Interference! RIGGED, UNCONSTITUTIONAL TRIAL! Take off the Gag Order!!!

However, Trump routinely speaks out about the trial and it includes outside the courtroom Monday — and in the exact post in which he demanded he be allowed to speak. The gag orders against him are all narrowly tailored and allow him to speak about the trial and even attack the judge.
