Former President Donald Trump received a standing ovation during his speech at CPAC, where he promised a “judgment day” for the deep state upon his potential re-election in November. Trump declared November 5th as a “new liberation day,” but for those he accused of deceit and fraud within the government, it would be their “judgment day.” The crowd at CPAC responded with a standing ovation.
Trump referred to himself as a “proud political dissident” due to the 91 felony charges he faces from the Biden Administration and their allies. He labeled Joe Biden as a threat to democracy and criticized the alleged weaponization of government institutions, such as the Department of Justice (DOJ) and the FBI.
The former president claimed that he had been indicted four times by a “gang of thugs” and expressed concern about the unprecedented nature of the situation, stating, “They’ve weaponized government. They’ve weaponized the DOJ, the FBI. We’ve never had anything like this in this country.”
Trump’s remarks came during a rally in South Carolina, where he made his final pitch before the state’s primary election. He then headed to Florida for the CPAC appearance.
Despite facing challenges from former South Carolina Governor Nikki Haley, Trump is expected to secure a significant victory in the state, according to the RealClearPolitics polling average. Haley, however, has vowed to stay in the race, even if she doesn’t win in her home state. Trump has secured wins in several other states leading up to the South Carolina primary.
“Because the fact is Joe Biden is a threat to democracy. He really is a threat to democracy. I stand before you today not only as your past and hopefully future president, but as a proud political dissident. I am a dissident,” Trump said.
“I got indicted four times by this gang of thugs for nothing, or, as I say respectfully to the people from foreign countries, for bullshit,” Trump went on to say.
“Now, it’s very dangerous. It’s very dangerous what’s going on. They’ve weaponized government. They’ve weaponized the DOJ, the FBI. We’ve never had anything like this in this country.”
