Trump Says He ‘Never Touched’ Female Assault Victim

Former President Donald Trump took to Truth Social to briefly celebrate what he called a “historic win” in the Iowa Caucuses on Tuesday morning before shifting his attention to the defamation damages trial brought against him by E. Jean Carroll. Carroll, who has accused Trump of sexual abuse, has already won a defamation case against him, with a jury awarding her $5 million in damages. The current trial aims to determine additional damages based on Judge Lewis Kaplan’s finding that Trump defamed Carroll when he dismissed her rape accusation as a “con job.”

Despite Trump’s victory in the Iowa Caucuses, where he secured a slim majority of 51%, he now faces the ongoing legal battle in New York. He expressed his objection to the allegations, characterizing the case as a “FAKE” one pushed by political operatives. Trump emphasized that he has never met, seen, or touched Carroll, dismissing her claims as “PURE FICTION” and accusing the trial of being a “giant Election Interference Scam.”

Trump’s legal troubles, including both civil and criminal cases, have not significantly impacted his political standing. Despite facing four criminal indictments and various civil battles, he has managed to maintain political support. The former president appears undeterred by the legal challenges, using his platform to assert his innocence and portray the accusations as politically motivated attacks.

As Trump heads to New Hampshire for the upcoming primary, he anticipates a potentially tougher challenge, especially with former Ambassador to the United Nations Nikki Haley gaining ground in the polls. Nevertheless, Trump remains defiant in the face of legal scrutiny, suggesting that his legal woes have so far had little negative impact on his political fortunes.

“After a historic win in Iowa, I am going to the Biden encouraged Witch Hunt in Lower Manhattan to fight against a FAKE Case from a woman I have never met, seen, or touched (Celebrity Lines don’t count!)” declared Trump. “Naturally, it starts right after Iowa, and during the very important New Hampshire Primary where, despite their sinister attempts, I will be tonight! It is a giant Election Interference Scam, pushed and financed by political operatives. I had no idea who this woman was. PURE FICTION!”
