Former President Donald Trump recently slammed his own former chief campaign spokesperson via his 2024 campaign account on X, in a shockingly vicious and vulgar tweet calling her a “TRAITOR” in an obvious warning to other Republicans and Fox Business hosts alike via Mediaite.
The Trump campaign on Wednesday went ballistic on former 2020 campaign communications director Erin Perrine in a quote tweet about her appearance on Mornings With Maria on Fox Business, during which she discussed President Joe Biden with host Maria Bartiromo.
The message seemed clearly aimed not just at Perrine, but as a rebuke of Trump-supporting Bartiromo for having Perrine on air. “MAGA disowns her and anyone else that associates/works with her,” they wrote.
Perrine signed on with the Gov. Ron DeSantis-supporting Never Back Down PAC earlier this year, supporting his bid for president against her former boss. The message from the Trump campaign was that she is radioactive and should not be worked with … or put on air.
“Look at this grifter @ErinMPerrine trying to use her previous Trump association to get on TV,” the campaign wrote, leading with the Fox Business appearance.
“She chose to side with DeSanctimonious and nothing can ever wash that foul stench of shit off her,” it said. “MAGA disowns her and anyone else that associates/works with her. TRAITOR!”
It will be interesting to see if Bartiromo has Perrine on again after the obvious message from Trump.
