– Sasha Banks defeated Charlotte, Bayley and Becky Lynch in a Fatal 4 Way to become the new WWE NXT Women’s Champion at tonight’s Takeover: Rival event. Sasha won after making former champion Charlotte tap out. This is Sasha’s first title reign since signing with WWE. Charlotte held the title for 258 days.
– Kevin Owens became the new WWE NXT Champion by defeating Sami Zayn at tonight’s Takeover event. Owens won the match due to referee stoppage after a series of powerbombs to Zayn. Owens is beginning his first title reign in WWE just two months after debuting. As noted earlier, Finn Balor became the new #1 contender to Owens’ title at Takeover.
