Former President Donald Trump recently dropped an all-caps rant and claimed that Barack Obama “never respected” Joe Biden and wants to replace him with Kamala Harris via Mediaite.
It has been noted that a growing number of Democratic lawmakers and strategists have been publicly calling on the president to quit the race following his poor performance at the presidential debate last month. Biden previously had trouble answering questions coherently and had a raspy voice while debating Trump.
It has been noted that celebrities and donors have even begun cutting off money to his super PAC and campaign, including George Clooney who wrote an op-ed in The New York Times this week. Clooney is a longtime friend and donor to Obama’s two presidential campaigns. Before publishing the op-ed, it had been reported that the actor consulted with Obama.
In the wake of the chaos surrounding the Democratic nomination, Trump took to Truth Social on Friday evening to air his theory that Obama is working against Biden.
“OBAMA AND BIDEN HATE EACH OTHER! OBAMA NEVER RESPECTED BIDEN, THOUGHT HE WAS DUMB, AND A TOTAL LIGHTWEIGHT,” Trump wrote to his followers.
Trump then noted that in the next “couple of weeks” Obama may try to have the vice president take over Biden’s role as the presumptive nominee.
He added, “WILL BE AN INTERESTING COUPLE OF WEEKS. OBAMA WANTS HIM OUT, WANTS V.P. HARRIS IN!”
