Mike Bennett and Maria Kanellis are longer with Ring of Honor as their contracts expired with the promotion. The two worked Saturday’s ROH TV tapings in Philadelphia.
The Kingdom dropped the ROH Tag Titles to War Machine at Final Battle on Friday night and then were written off of television at the tapings when Bennett and Maria said their good-byes. According to PWinsider.com, the couple were telling people backstage at the tapings that they would be joining TNA in January.
It should be noted that Matt Taven’s (the tag team partner of Bennett) contract is due in March 2016. Speaking of Taven, he suffered a knee injury at the beginning of the ROH Tag Title match against War Machine and did not work Saturday’s TV tapings.
